Healthy chocolate balls, high in protein and very easy to make. I’ve had the recipe on You Tube for over 2 years now, plenty of ‘thumbs up’ and over 1500 views, but it’s time to take place in print. It’s the much loved and so easy to make sugar free, gluten free, dairy free Raw Cacao & Coconut Goodie Ball!

This recipe included optional extra ingredients for added taste and nutrients :

To make 15 (approx) :

1 Cup Raw Almonds, soaked  Goodie Balls

1 Cup Medjool Dates, pitted and rinsed

1/2 Cup Raw Cacao Powder

2 Tbs Coconut Oil

1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

2 Tbs Sunflower &/or Pumpkin Seeds (optional)

1 scoop Quality Protein Powder (optional)

1 scoop Supergreens Powder (optional)

1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract (optional)

Desiccated or Shredded Coconut (optional for rolling)

Hemp Seeds (optional for rolling)

Sesame Seeds (optional for rolling)

Method

Drain the almonds, add to your processor and grind until small pieces. Add cacao, coconut oil, cinnamon and optional extras to the ground almonds and mix well in processor until well combined. If mixture seems dry (adding  optional extra’s may cause this), add a little more coconut oil and blend again.

Straight from the processor, using washed hands, scoop a medium amount of chocolate ball mixture and roll in your palms. Roll in any of the optional extras for rolling and serve straight away.

They keep well in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 10 days, and in a sealed container in the freezer for up to 2 months.
