Who needs to buy ice cream when it’s this simple to make!! 3 ingredients, a good appetite and a freezer is all you need.

Do you know why it’s healthy? Firstly, because you made it and you know what’s in it.

Second, it’s made of real food.

Most commercial ice creams are full of synthetic additives like emulsifiers – they help to stop the ingredients separating and make it look pretty – that are detrimental to your health. Latest study shows that a diet high in emulsifiers can increase the risk of  inflammatory bowel diseases and metabolic disorders, disturbing your beneficial gut flora and wreaking havoc on your health. Yet another reason to ditch the processed foods and embrace the world of MYO (make your own).

Also an added bonus for those sticking to a dairy free diet !

Berry Healthy DF Ice Cream Recipe

  • 300ml Coconut Cream
  • 1 tsp Pure Maple Syrup (or Rice Malt Syrup for low fructose)
  • 1 1/2 Cup Berries, your choice (We love to use diced strawberries, blueberries and diced cherries. Fresh or frozen)

1 – Place cream and syrup into a suitable bowl to freeze, mix well

2 – Fold in the berries and mix well.

3 – Place film to cover the bowl and into the freezer for at least 3 hours, or until set.

Scoop and enjoy!
