There are a handful of favourite recipes that we reach for when in need of a wholesome, nutritionally balanced bite in a hurry. To be honest, that’s a lot of the time – and I’m guessing you can relate!
As simple as these recipes are; [I’m talking 1 bowl, 15 mins preparation – to -plate; ] they’re tasty and nutritious and very satisfying. We rotate meals a lot to avoid boredom & welcome nutritional variety, also eating with the seasons, but these recipes are so loved and versatile that they’re requested all-year-round.
You may see a common theme here : I like to add a protein source with veggies to our meals at night (and at breakfast) for many reasons, including that we don’t often eat enough of either during the work/school-hour day. Another important note is that adequate protein and vegetable intake is extremely important to good health and also helps us to relax for the slumber journey ahead : welcome good night sleep!
If you’re looking for easy, tasty, healthy bites that are ultra versatile and perfect for any time of day but especially good in the evening, have a look at our favourites + sides recipes. And the list doesn’t even include 1 of our favourite easy sheet pan dinners (although they’re amazing & well loved also) – please contact me if you’d like those recipes !!
